How to use a Yoga Strap
A Yoga Strap can help you reach limbs such as feet and hands during certain postures where you
have limited flexibility.
For example in the Sitting Forward Bend (Paschimottasana) you would
use the belt looped over your feet and held in each hand to assist with moving the
body into the full posture. A strap can be referred to as a Yoga prop, as it
helps you in your practice.
So if you having trouble with a pose that requires you to grasp your feet or arms, a strap will
allow you to do this, and hold the pose for a longer period. With time you should be able to attain
the full pose without the use of the strap
Other props that may be of use to you include Yoga Bolsters and
Yoga Sand Bags.
