Each pose works on different areas of the body, by practicing yoga regularly you should see better muscle tone, an increases in the flexibility of the spine and the suppleness of your joints should improve Each yoga posture is held for a certain amount of breathes, but you must control your breathing while in the pose

If you were to sit in on a Yoga class, it may look than nothing more than physical exercise, but as you practice and study each pose you while realize apart from controlling your body you are also having to control your mind and breathing.

By practicing asanas you would gradually feel an improvement to your health both physically and mentally.

Many poses can look extreme, I am sure you have seen the pictures and wondered how you would ever be able to do that but they all have variations, that act as a starting point until you have gained enough flexibility for the full pose. This can take time, but we all have to start somewhere
